PRECISIONTAPE ™ Zone Tape is a custom made product designed for use where conventional polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coated fiberglass adhesive backed tapes will not withstand the extreme temperatures found on some heat sealing surfaces.
The center or zone can be made with either premium or standard PRECISIONFAB ™ fabric from 3 mils. to 6 mils in thickness, and a variety of widths. A silicone adhesive is used along each edge holding the zone tape to the sides of the heat-sealing bar where it is cooler. This leaves the center zone over the sealing area where the main concentration of heat is found. There is a better heat transfer, the PRECISIONFAB ™ fabric to seal the package, while the PTFE coating prevents the packaging film from sticking to the heat sealing surface.
